We urgently need a working car!

Ukraine

On the 24th of February 2022, Russia launched a military offensive into Ukraine, causing civilian casualties and destroying the country’s infrastructure. More than a quarter of the population has been forced to flee their homes. In the first few weeks, more than 4.3 million refugees fled Ukraine, and a second as many were internally displaced. It is the fastest growing refugee crisis since World War II.

We cannot be indifferent to the suffering of our neighbours – we immediately set out to help!

We are stuck again! The Ukrainian roads and the nature of our work require the car to be reliable and able to withstand unusual challenges. We have a minibus, and we treat it like a member of the team. We take good care of it, but yesterday it failed once again. 30 m past the border tollgate, on the Polish side, our clutch broke down. We got stuck on the side of the road, relieved that our automotive adventure took place on the Polish side!

We have many plans and new ideas for reaching out to those in need on the other side of the border. We are forming a permanent team of Ukrainian volunteers, which will operate continuously in the border zone on the Ukrainian side. We will reach as far as Lviv. We only need one thing. An efficient car! A tool for special tasks!

Can you help? Maybe we need to quickly raise money for a functional means of transport, or perhaps there is someone who could simply lend us a reliable minibus. We don’t expect anything from a car except the confidence that it will take us safely to our next mission!

GoodWorks 24/7 is our charity shop, the simplest tool to change the world for the better. We are adding a means to help us out with a minibus for the Good Factory, being certain after two weeks that it is a good and indispensable investment.
