Place: Mauretania – Nutrition center in Kaédi

Good Factory has been operating in Mauritania since the start of 2019. We finance the nutrition center run by sister Carmen from the Congregation of Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. In Mauritania, one of the poorest countries in the world, 80% of which is covered by the Sahara Desert, it is nearly impossible to produce enough food for all its people, even though its population is just over 4 million people. One in three Mauritanians live below the poverty line and one in four children under the age of five suffer from malnutrition. Our presence there is much needed so that we can provide opportunities to help the most vulnerable.

Nurse Carmen uses a special recipe to prepare nutritious meals that help undernourished small bodies quickly overcome dietary deficiencies. We also buy medicine and finance the hospitalization of the weakest children. Moreover, we help pay for tuition for children who have regained enough strength to attend school for the first time.

This is the only such place in the area and if it weren’t for you, these children wouldn’t stand a chance.

If you want to save another young Mauritanian with us, give a smile, provide a meal and offer hope – join us today! The cost of a meal is just a few zlotys but makes a world of a difference for the people we help.
