The front line of the battle against the virus is marked by hospital beds. Specialists on epidemiological wards are determined to make sure the right help reaches everyone in time. They say the situation is difficult and that basic protective and medical equipment is missing. We are all at risk, but the people we need to protect first and foremost are medical workers. If their health suffers, there will be no one to help us. Support the fight against the virus by providing essential equipment to medical workers!
Hospitals across Poland are reporting shortages of basic protective gear. Face masks and protective suits, hand and surface disinfectant, gloves and aprons are all lacking. Hospitals are asking for funds to purchase no-touch thermometers, portable ventilators, pulse oximeters, cardiac monitors and infusion pumps. “The supplies we receive are insufficient. These are quantities that run out very quickly,” write the doctors.
The outbreak still hasn’t peaked. We need to make sure medical workers have the resources to effectively fight for our health when the situation intensifies. In these trying times, protecting medical workers and preventing them from falling sick and going into quarantine is paramount. If we can support them now they will be ready to help us when we need their help most.
Let’s do it together and let’s do it NOW!
