The news that a child is about to arrive stirs emotions, often turning our life upside down. Excitement and joy are mixed with fear for the little one’s health. In the first weeks of pregnancy, the future mom visits a doctor, who will take care of her and the child until they are born. Regular examinations are very important to make sure that pregnancy is safely brought to a happy end. Unfortunately, in Africa, awareness of the necessity of regular doctor appointments during pregnancy remains low. Doctors and midwives from local hospitals often visit nearby villages to tell women about the importance of medical care from the first weeks of pregnancy. You can also help us by buying a medical package for a pregnant woman. Thanks to you, one woman in Africa will get four prenatal doctor appointments and a midwife’s assistance during labor, as well as all of the necessary medications and support.
