Life Investment is now Pinwheel for Life! A new project, an even easier tool to save hungry children together with us. One thing has not changed. We are still in Congo and Mauritania and we are still fighting for the life of every child with the same determination!

Why a pinwheel?

Because for us it is the symbol of the children’s returning strength. As soon as they arrive at the nutrition centre, they just fix their gaze on the colourful pinwheels. They do not have the strength to reach for them. Often they do not have the strength to walk, to speak, or even to cry. Silence reigns in the ward. Later, when they recover as their treatment progresses, the coloured pinwheels become more and more popular. Once they are able to blow at them so that they spin without stopping, we know that the battle against hunger disease has been won.

No one should be hungry. Starving a child is unacceptable! In the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is being torn apart at this very moment by the ongoing war, we still have a lot to do in this regard!

We managed to snatch two-month-old Huruma from death in the past days, but there are more like him every day.

Thanks to you, our centre in Congo is one of the few places in the entire province that has never yet run out of medicines, IVs and food, even though there have been some dramatic situations.

Let’s do our bit today to ensure that the pinwheel of good that we are setting in motion never stops! The project is simple. We still want to ask you to commit to a fixed amount donated for the treatment of hungry children in Congo and Mauritania. It is the regular donations, even for the smallest amounts, that make it possible for us to give them the security of knowing that food will not be lacking and that we will be with them until they have fully recovered.
