Humanitarian aid, which is talked about so much today, is not a romantic impulse of the heart. It is, among other things, a nightly marathon in Excel. It is hundreds of emails and phone calls to find the fastest and cheapest way to transport meds. It is poring over a budget to make sure every penny from you helps as much as possible. It is managing projects with a single goal: for them to come on time. Before it’s too late.
In this painstaking work, we are together. People of Good Factory. Not just us in the foundation building, but everyone who adds something to the effort. Thanks to you—thanks to hundreds of your quiet, everyday decisions—Amina regains her smile after severe malnutrition, and little Joseph has the strength to fight for another breath. Without you, many of our beneficiaries simply would not survive. Thank you for every act of kindness this year, for just being there and doing this work with us.
So today, on World Humanitarian Day, we don’t just invite you to talk about what matters in helping others (though Ania Dąbrowska is always ready for your questions!). We invite you to join the work.
It’s hard to take you with us to Congo or Rwanda—logistics and costs are enormous. But you can join us here and now, in this crucial, often unseen effort. Give one hour of your work today to help those in need.
Visit our website, choose the cause closest to your heart, and in the “SUPPORT” form, donate the equivalent of one hour of your work. It will be turned into therapeutic meals, medicines, or transport. This could be the best-used hour of your week!
