Become part of a Lebanese Senior's family

Adopt a Senior

Seniors are struggling to survive

“Explain to me how it is that Lebanon hasn’t collapsed into the ground yet. Everything seems to be working. People go to work, many shops and restaurants are still open,” we ask Dr. Harouna, who cares for the seniors.

“It is all thanks to those who left Lebanon long ago and send money back to their loved ones for the most basic needs. But those who have no family abroad — you won’t see them on the streets. They cannot afford heating, fuel for generators, or even food. Medicine and education for children have become unattainable luxuries. Believe me, nothing works here anymore,” he answers.

Not “help,” not “support,” not “improve their quality of life.” Rescue!!! Today, ailing seniors in Lebanon need us to rescue them. If we do not reach out a hand, they simply will not survive.

  1. Program Objective

The objective of the “Adopt a Senior” Program is to provide financial support for the Foundation’s Statutory Objectives, specifically in the area of assisting elderly people in the Foundation’s areas of operation. These individuals are unable to survive without proper aid due to chronic illness, poverty, and political instability in their country of residence.
A full list of seniors covered by the Program, along with their stories, can be found in the “Meet our Seniors” section on the Program’s webpage.

  1. How the Program Works

The Program enables the virtual adoption of a senior by a Participant, who provides monthly financial support in an amount of their choice. Aid to the senior is delivered through projects managed by the Foundation.

  1. Terms of Participation

To join the “Adopt a Senior” Program, you must complete the registration form available via the “SUPPORT” or “ADOPT A SENIOR” button on the selected senior’s dedicated page and make a monthly contribution of your declared amount. Payments can be made using any of the methods available in the form. If you choose a traditional bank transfer, by completing the form, you commit to setting up a standing order with your bank.

Program Participants have the right to change their declared support amount at any time. In the case of:
– Card payments: changing the amount requires canceling the current payment and setting up a new one.
– Standing orders: the Participant makes the change independently by contacting their bank or modifying their online banking settings.

  1. Cancellation of Monthly Support

Program Participants have the right to opt out of recurring support at any time by sending a notification via email to: [email protected]
No reason is required to withdraw from the Program.

To cancel support provided via standing order, the Participant must cancel it independently by contacting their bank or adjusting their online banking settings.
