Employ a gardener at Home Village
It is no longer just a kitchen and meals for the most vulnerable. On the Greek island of Lesbos, we have funded a vegetable garden that gives work to residents of Europe’s largest refugee camp. Five refugees and two Greeks are currently working on five hectares of land. Organic crops allow us to continue feeding diabetics, the sick and pregnant women.
We are developing this project together with Katerina and Nikos. We think about helping in a very similar way. Today you are also invited to this extraordinary place. The cost of maintaining one worker in the garden is €800 per month. So we are looking for 47 people to reach out and help one resident of the refugee camp to fulfil their dream of working, becoming independent and giving their families a sense of security.
